Dr. Layani Makwinja

For the past few years, Dr. Layani H. Makwinja has been crafting her art of being an Educational Psychologist and Human Development and Behaviour specialist. This has led her to hold internships and held positions in many institutions, locally and internationally, that address both mental health and intellectual development, including working with those with disabilities from childhood to old age. Her experiences have allowed her to understand the psychological and emotional development as well as the intellectual function of individuals across age groups as well as settings. Dr Makwinja is passionate about children and youth mental health and works on bringing a change to the generation of tomorrow.

Thato Motlhatlhedi is the Clinic Manager at Kaelo Psychosocial Wellness Clinic, where she supports a small team dedicated to emotional healing, mental health, and human development. With a strong background in community service and NGO work, Thato brings a unique perspective to wellness, one that values both structure and soul. Her role at Kaelo is rooted in coordination, care, and creativity. She ensures that the clinic runs smoothly, from managing day-to-day operations to supporting the team’s outreach and wellness initiatives. Thato is passionate about creating spaces that feel safe, supportive, and emotionally restorative for both clients and colleagues. Her journey includes tutoring children, organizing food and toiletry runs for underprivileged families, and co-founding a youth leadership initiative. These experiences continue to shape her commitment to healing, dignity, and long-term community impact, especially for children and the elderly. Thato believes that wellness goes beyond treatment, it involves restoring hope, building meaningful relationships, and honoring each person's full story. Her work at Kaelo reflects that belief every day.

Wame Kim Monametsi is an administration officer and dedicated professional with a background in Social Work and experience spanning clinical administration and child-centered support services. Her work in pediatric healthcare includes delivering direct client care, overseeing administrative processes, and supporting the coordination of multidisciplinary teams. She is committed to upholding high standards of service and ensuring the efficient, compassionate functioning of healthcare environments.

Mr. Tlotlo Tike

Tlotlo Tike is a result driven finance professional with 8 years of experience in the accounting field. He holds a Batchelors of Arts degree in Economics and Accounting; he also holds a certificate of proficiency certificate (short term).
His expertise includes Financial Reporting: Preparing and presenting monthly management accounts and financial reports, providing insights into business performance and aiding in strategic decision-making. Budgeting and Forecasting: Developing and managing budgets, performing cost analyses, and preparing financial forecasts to guide the organization’s financial planning.
Cost Management: Analysing costs and implementing strategies to reduce operational expenses while maintaining quality and efficiency. Risk Management: Identifying and managing financial risks within the organization, ensuring compliance with regulations and internal policies. Collaboration: Working closely with various departments to provide financial insights and support business strategies.
